Sketchbook pages 3 and 4 - ink and found tools ala Gina

I was chatting away with Gina the other day as she has been working on a sketchbook. She was drawing with found tools, particularly spaghetti. So I thought I would give it a go. The first page I did was with a feather, gosh it was harder than I thought. Here's what I did.
I then tried spaghetti, not quite as bad as the feather but I like how they have turned out. I added some metallic green pen and copper metallic pen to the page too.
I am going to revisit these pages with some ink as Gina has done in her post today.

Now or my dilemma - this sketchbook paper is pants!!!!! to say the least. I have to decide what to do - do I take the book apart and change the paper? or continue to glue into the book and save the hassle of rebinding???????????????????

WHAT WOULD YOU DO???????

very dynamic marks!
TAKE IT APART---it will only make it better and more durable, and then you can add thickly textured pieces and more :)

Fantastic results Carol. It's so exciting to see people taking up this sketchbook challenge. Just keep sticking things in the book...

I've glued a couple of pages together which seemed to work okay and I've also painted a few with clear gesso, which is also good. The gluing pages together seems to make a thicker page than the gesso but the gesso is good because if you're painting and make a mistake you can wipe it off!

Carol;
I would glue pages together or simply work outside the book and adhere pages as necessary. That is what I did when I did the Sketchbook Project last year, the book was definitely thicker though. Who would have thought to use spaghetti! Great idea.

I daren't take the book apart so I shall be gluing pages together and sticking things in, if I ever get started properly!

Sue Bleiweiss in her blog shows how she took the sketchbook apart and added pages.
